Prerequisites

If the applicant does not have a Computer Technology degree, then the following courses serve as the prerequisites and provide a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) certification:

• CTEC 214 - Client Operating Systems
• CTEC 302 -Computer Networking
• CTEC 345 - Foundations of Computer and Network Security
• CTEC 120 -  Principles of Secure coding using Java Programming
• CTEC 220 - Advanced Secure Coding using Java Programming
• CTEC 350  - Principles and Methods of Intrusion Detection and Prevention

Industry certifications and course equivalencies may be substituted for the above prerequisites as approved through the Department of Technology & Security graduate faculty advisor.
