It's time for the Fall Freshman Matriculation Convocation! We are celebrating the beginning of your journey to graduation and welcoming you to Bowie State University.

Please dress in black, white or gold business attire and wear comfortable shoes.

Let’s celebrate your enrollment at Bowie State University and your journey to graduation!

  • Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024 
  • 8:45 a.m. - meet at the Student Center Lawn 
  • 9:20 a.m. - Student Processional to the Leonidas S. James Physical Education Complex  
  • 10 a.m. - Fall Matriculation Convocation begins 
  • 11:30 a.m. - Reception immediately following the program at the Center for Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Nursing

Ayanna Tweedy 

Athletic Director, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 

Ayanna Tweedy is a visionary and athletic leader entering her third year as athletic director at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in child and adolescent studies from Bowie State University and her Master of Arts in Higher education and administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
