Students boost their knowledge of personal finance and learn about the home-buying process through a partnership between Bowie State University and HomeFree USA.

HomeFree USA’s Center for Financial Advancement® (CFA) introduces HBCU students to career opportunities in the mortgage and real estate finance industry and elevates their money management skills, while teaching them about homeownership, credit and building wealth. Students, faculty, parents and the local community at-large can engage in year-round educational programming on topics, such as credit, student loans, savings, homeownership and career opportunities in mortgage finance.

Center for Financial Advancement® (CFA) Fellows

Select Bowie State students can participate in the intensive, yearlong CFA leadership program, which connects talented students from historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to opportunities in the mortgage and real estate finance industry. Fellows will participate in educational workshops throughout the academic year, engaging in power sessions that elevate their money and credit management skills, introduce them to industry experts and explore the benefits of homeownership.
