At Bowie State’s Entrepreneurship Innovation Center, you can build the entrepreneurial skills to succeed in any career or business venture. No matter your major or background, you’re encouraged to get involved, attend events and use all available resources. You can connect with a mentor, reserve free tools and equipment and access business guidance on everything from marketing to tax planning, all in a collaborative supportive environment designed to help you bring your ideas to life.

    Bulldog Pitch Competition 

    Win funding and showcase your best ideas at the Bulldog Pitch Competition. Get expert feedback, connect with mentors and turn your vision into a real venture with support from the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center.

    Summer Launch Program  

    The Summer Launch Program is a nine-week series where teams of two or three people can get paid to work full-time on their business idea. You'll have access to industry leaders who can help accelerate the development of your vision.

    Join the Innovation Corps

    Join a team to learn how to commercialize your innovation and improve your chances of securing funding. When you participate, you become eligible to apply for a $50,000 I-Corps team grant.

Infuse Entrepreneurship Into Your Academic Plan

Entrepreneurship Certificate 

The Entrepreneurship Certificate program is designed to develop and nurture an entrepreneurial mindset and prepare you for success in various professional landscapes. It is available to current students and students who are not seeking a college degree.

Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management Concentration 

Participate in a specialized curriculum that teaches you how to identify business opportunities, conduct market research and manage venture financing processes. You will work with talented professors with years of real-world experience in business planning, management and consulting.

Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community 

The ELLC is a residential community that houses more than 500 students and connects you to entrepreneurship opportunities and resources. This center of innovation promotes collaboration and surrounds you with supportive peers. Saxbys Experiential Learning Platform 

Get real-world business experience as the student café CEO at Bowie State’s Saxbys café. You’ll run day-to-day operations, manage a team, develop marketing strategies, while earning wages, bonuses and full academic credit. This is your chance to gain hands-on leadership experience, build your resume and make a real difference in the community.
