Entrepreneurship Innovation Center
Summer Launch Program
Are you a Bowie State University undergraduate or graduate student with an idea or an existing venture and ready to move to the next level?
The Summer Launch Program (SLP) is a 9-week paid incubator program hosted by the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center in collaboration with the Summer Undergraduate Research Institute (SURI) and Freddie Mac. Over a nine-week period, teams of at least two or three students will work full-time to accelerate the development of their idea or business with business and industry experts.
Using the lean start-up methodology, teams will gain traction with customers, and will be equipped to build a case for investment with seed funders. In addition, participants will work on the essential components of their business model canvas and collect the data to validate their idea and value proposition to determine if their idea has growth potential.
This opportunity is open to BSU undergraduate and graduate students of any major who want to launch a new business venture or grow an existing business venture.
Eligibility:
- All BSU Undergraduate/Graduate Students
- Teams of 2-3 are encouraged
- Non-BSU student teams members can participate, but will not be paid for the program
