Coronavirus Update

As the Fall 2022 semester gets underway, Bowie State is working to maintain effective systems to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 while also returning to more normal campus operations. Adjustments are underway for the delivery of COVID-19 testing by a new vendor.

COVID Testing on 9/9/22

The Thurgood Marshall Library Testing Center will be closed Friday. Sept. 9. PCR and Rapid COVID testing will be available in the Henry Wise Wellness Center in the Christa McAuliffe Residential Community (CMRC), 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. and self-test kits are available at three sites across campus.

    • Thurgood Marshall Library, Room 1200
    • Office of Campus Security in McKeldin Gym 
    • Ticket Booth at the Student Center

NOTE: Self-tests still need to be uploaded to the wellness portal immediately following a result and the Wellness Center should be notified at hwwc@bowiestate.edu or call 301-860-4170 if you test positive. After hours, residential students should contact their resident assistant (RA) for isolation instructions.

Thurgood Marshall Testing Center Reopens

On Monday, Sept. 12, CIAN Diagnostics will begin COVID-19 testing operations at the Thurgood Marshall Library, Room 1200. Testing will be available Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Testing will not close during lunch. Appointments are not mandatory but can be made using the link below to register, should you prefer to make one.
