COVID-19 Testing Schedule, Clearance Badge for Students, Flu Shots
The Bowie State University Wellness Center has announced a rotating schedule of COVID-19 testing through the remainder of the fall semester. Testing will be provided three days each week beginning with employees and commuter student Sept. 28 – 30, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McKeldin Gym. See the full schedule below.
Appointments are required 48 hours before desired testing time. Employees must call 301-860-4170 for appointments. Students may schedule appointment for COVID testing on the Wellness Center Patient Portal (https://patientportal.bowiestate.edu) using you BSU username and password. Students and employees must be tested every 30 days with a negative result to maintain access to the campus.

Clearance Badge System for Students
The Wellness Center Patient Portal has been upgraded to indicate compliance with testing and daily screening practices with color-coded badges. Students must display the badge to gain access to campus and to some spaces on campus.
Badge Status Interpretation-
Red means COVID-19 positive or exposed to COVID-19 Individual= no access to campus.
Yellow means overdue items- no COVID test submitted or test last performed greater than 30 days.
Green means Cleared - COVID-19 test is negative and the Daily COVID-19 survey has been completed within 24 hours.
Flu Shots Now Available
As the weather begins to cool down, the campus community is also encouraged to get the annual flu shot through the Wellness Center. No appointment necessary.
We can all take these precautions to reduce the spread of respiratory viruses on the campus. The diligent adherence to wearing face masks, hand washing and social distancing has helped to limit the number of positive COVID -19 cases at BSU to this point. We must maintain the course through the semester.
