Positive COVID Cases Increasing

Welcome to 2023! Hopefully everyone had a safe and healthy winter break and time to recharge. There is currently a spike in the number of positive COVID cases throughout the country, but particularly in Prince George’s County, where we are almost at 20% positivity rate. In order to maintain good health, there is an increased need to do the following:

  • Wear a mask
  • Maintain a comfortable social distance from others
  • Test yourself for COVID

If you are not feeling well or having COVID-like symptoms, stay home, get tested, and notify the wellness center of positive cases via the Wellness Portal.

Before your return to campus for the Spring 2023 semester, take time to self-test. Once on campus, you may also get tested at the Thurgood Marshall Library COVID Testing Center, Room 1200 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Take-home tests are available at the following locations on campus:

  • Campus Police at McKeldin Gym
  • Thurgood Marshall Library
    • Reference Desk
    • Room 270
