Return from Spring Break Testing Protocol
If you are a commuting student or employee, please remember to pick-up a self-test kit from the library or student center before you leave campus for spring break. Self-test kits are to be used 24 hours before returning to campus. Residential students will be tested on campus upon return from spring break.
Self-Test Kit Instructions
- Distribution: Thursday, March 16 – Friday, March 18
- Register by texting “Test Needed” to 301-215-2044 and follow the instructions
- Pickup Locations:
- Student Center Ticket Window, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Thurgood Marshall Library Lobby 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Free rapid COVID tests can also be ordered at https://www.covidtests.gov/
- Test yourself within 24 hours before returning to campus
- If you get a positive result, upload a photo to the Wellness Portal showing your name and date of test or call 301-860-4170. You must isolate at home for five days.
Residential Student Testing
Residential students will be tested at three locations on campus prior to being allowed back into the residence halls.
- CMRC and ELLC: March 25-27, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- All other residence halls – McKeldin Gym: March 26-27, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
If a positive test result occurs, the student must return home to isolate for five days. After isolation a take-home rapid test must be taken to confirm that you are negative for infection to allow you to check into the residence hall.
