State of Maryland Driver Training
This one-hour course is for staff and faculty who have been authorized to drive official Bowie State University vehicles, including the sedans and vans in the motor pool. The SGA and GSA presidents are also permitted to attend upon approval from the Vice President of Student Affairs. You’ll learn about the policies and procedures and take a written test (you must answer all questions correctly in order to pass). Please bring a current license and, if you hold an out-of-state license, a copy of a current driving record to participate.
The certification lasts for two years and will be taken on-line using Blackboard for recertification. The same rules apply for recertification. Pass the test with all answers completed correctly and then you are responsible for sending the following items by email, fax or hand delivery:
- Driver's Acknowledgement form (pdf)
- Driver’s license
- Driving record (if out of state)
