Ebise Abate
Administrative Assistant II, Title III, Department of Natural Sciences
Ms. Ebise Abate serves as the Administrative Assistant II for Title III Programs and the Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) program in the Department of Natural Sciences at Bowie State University. She has a strong passion for holistically supporting students, with a particular focus on connecting them to community resources and advocating for safer, inclusive, and nourishing classroom environments.
Prior to joining Bowie State University, Ebise served as the Dean’s Assistant at Stevenson University, providing comprehensive administrative support and managing operational functions for the programs housed under the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice from Towson University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Community-Based Education and Leadership at Stevenson University.
In her current role, Ebise works closely with Dr. Chimdimnma Esimai, Ms. Lisa Welsh and Dr. George Ude through Title III to expand experiential learning opportunities for BSU students, ensuring they are equipped with the resources and skills needed to successfully transition into their chosen career paths. She is excited to join the CURE team and is committed to making meaningful contributions to the program’s growth and overall success. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family who reside in the DMV area and prioritizes wellness, often attending spin classes at local fitness centers.
