Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open. Students Graduating from the Business Information Systems Program will:

  1. Apply current and emerging information technologies to identify innovative opportunities or to improve existing business operations
  2. Assess global, security, privacy, ethical and social issues related to information systems and their applications
  3. Apply data and analytics concepts and related techniques to create data-driven solutions to support decision-making
  4. Prepare requirement specifications for business problems
  5. Design and build a database using the latest data technologies
  6. Communicate information system knowledge clearly and effectively in both writing and oral presentations
