Students graduating from the Data Analytics Program will be able to:
- Explain and provide examples of the role of big-data for the discovery of solutions for real-world problems
- Explain the data science and analytics theories, methods, models, and process
- Explain big data and its applications
- Apply data management principles relating to data representation, storage, retrieval and analysis: Able to prepare data-big or small-for analysis for a given problem
- Develop model-based solutions for a given problem with datasets using statistical techniques and machine learning techniques
- Present and communicate outcomes of analytics visually
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills associated with problem identification, problem solving and decision-making using data and analytics
