Military Resource Center

Bowie State University’s Military Resource Center serves military-connected students as they apply to, attend and advance beyond the university. Bowie State is home to over 300 military-connected students, including service members, veterans, and military families. Our office serves as a liaison and advisor to ensure prospective and current military students receive accurate and comprehensive information about admissions, finances, academic support, career networking, and support service The Military Resource Center at Bowie State University passionately serves military-connected students, striving to remove barriers to entry and offering essential support services, so they can reach their academic goals.

At the Military Resource Center you can:

• Find all the services you’ll need at Bowie State to ensure you get the educational benefits and academic support you’ve earned.
• Connect with support staff who can help navigate your college career.
• Take advantage of the space designated for you to connect with other veterans and resources on campus.
• Interact with organizations in the community to help you succeed, whether that means post-college employment, benefits or other needed services.

Stop by the Military Resource Center , located on the main floor in the Thurgood Marshall Library, in Suite 1126. There, you can study quietly, ask questions about your benefits, or socialize with other veterans. During the fall and spring semesters, the Military Resource Center is open Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The Military Resource Center aspires to increase Bowie State’s national recognition as a leader for supporting military and veteran-affiliated students. The Military Resource Center represents an unprecedented commitment by Bowie State University to cultivate and lead innovative academic, government, and community collaborations positioned to empower those who have served in defense of the nation.
