Don’t wait to graduate. Take a couple of summer classes to speed up your time to graduation. Choose from a variety of courses in your major, which will help you catch up or get ahead.

Not looking to complete a degree? No problem. Summer School is also an ideal time for students who are not seeking a degree to take a class to sharpen career skills or earn credits that can transfer to your home school.

Summer classes at Bowie State are convenient. Classes will be offered in an online format during the Summer 2021 session. You can be registered for up to seven credits per at a time. For example,  you can be registered into 3 credits in session I and 3 credits in the 10 week session or two 3 credit courses in session I and 2 3 credit courses in session II, but only up to 7 cedits and any given time during the summer.

Choose from three 2021 Summer sessions:

  • Session I June 1 – July 2 (5 Week Session)
  • Session II July 6 – August 6 (5 Week Session)
  • Session III June 1 – August 6 (10 Week Sessiuon)

Be sure to register for Session I (or Session III) by Friday, June 4. You can register for Session II until Friday, July 9.

How to Register

Current Bowie State University Students

  • Meet with your academic or department advisor.
  • Register for courses on Bulldog Connection.
  • Pay tuition and fees.

Visiting or Non-degree Students

  • Sign up for classes via the non-degree application form.
  • Pay the $17 application fee.
  • Pay tuition and fees.

Payment Information and Financial Aid

Payment for Summer School courses is due at the time of registration. 

There may be limited Financial Aid available for continuing students during Summer School. The Office of Financial Aid will place a Summer 2021 Application on their website when they have determined the amount and availability of Finanical Aid funds for Summer 2021.   Please refer to the Office of Finanical Aid website for more information. Financial aid funds obtained for the 2021-2022 school year cannot be used to pay for courses taken during the Summer School 2021.
