NVDA

- Availability: Can be found on the PCs in the Adaptive LAB 078. It is also available for download at nvaccess.org.

VoiceOver
- Cost: Free (with any iOS or Macintosh OS device)
- OS: iOS and Macintioch OS
- Training: VoiceOver for OS X includes a built-in training program available through the VoiceOver Utility dialog box.
Google TalkBack
- Cost: Free(with any Android device)
- OS: Android
- Availability: Google TalkBack is available for download on any personal Android device.
- Training: Google TalkBack support is available through Android Accessibility Helpvia the TalkBack Getting Started webpage.
JAWS
- OS: Windows
- Availability: On the PCs in the Adaptive LAB 078.
- Training: Training MP3 Files for JAWSare available through the Freedom Scientific website. One-on-one support and training is also available by appointment with the Technology Specialist.
Text to Speech Technology:
Text to speech technology is typically used by individuals with low vision, cognitive learning disabilities, mobility impairments, etc. This technology attempts to interpret and read aloud electronic documents and files.
Kurzweil 3000 and firefly K3000
- Cost: Free to current DSS students with digital text approved accommodation. Also available on the PCs in the adaptive LAB Lib 078
- Operating Systems: iOS, Macintosh OS, and Windows
- Availability: Please visit the Adaptive Lab Lib 078 or contact the Technology Specialist for a stand alone version
- Training: Kurzweil How To Videosand Kurzweil Product Guides re available through the Kurzweil Educational Systems website and your personal Firefly by Kurzweil account under the 'Help' tab. One-on-one training is also available by appointment with the Technology Specialist.
Central Access Reader (CAR)

- Operating Systems: Windows
- Availability: CAR is available for download on any personal Windows device.
