The Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) Program is a grant program designed to assist and empower student parents who are currently studying at Bowie State University. This program aims to provide additional childcare subsidies, resources, and support to help these individuals overcome the unique challenges of balancing their role as both parents and students, and ultimately achieve success in both areas.
Eligibility Requirements
- Parents of any gender (female, male, non-binary)
- Undergraduate, Graduate or Continuing Education student (FT and PT)
- A US citizen or non-US citizen with any alien status
- Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) on the 2023-2024 FAFSA that is less than $6656 (full-time student, $6401 (3/4 time student) $5901 (1/2-time student) or $4401 (less than ½ time student). Completion of FAFSA is required to generate the required EFC (including international students).
A completed 2023-2024 FAFSA is needed so that we can confirm your EFC (Expected Family Contribution) for elibiligiity. If you last completed a FAFSA before having a child (or if this is your first time completing FAFSA), the FAFSA form changes after you have a child. Students with children are "independent" and should only require income from the student, not the student's parents.
