The Division of Philanthropic Engagement, in partnership with the Bowie State University Foundation, works to engage a range of university stakeholders and friends to acquire funds to help determined, dedicated students fulfill their dreams for a bright future. We also provide resources for academic programs that enhance Bowie State University’s ability to carry out and maximize its educational mission.

Our activities include:

• Providing financial assistance and scholarships for deserving students
• Enhancing the university’s ability to fund for endowments and state-of-the art facilities
• Providing resources to support academic programs and attract top-notch faculty to expand innovations in the classroom
• Developing collaborative partnerships with internal and external entities to sustain institutional viability

Departments within the Division of Philanthropic Engagement work collectively to attract individual, foundation and corporate support and to provide appropriate stewardship of gifts of talent, time and treasure to the university.
