    O’Shea Bowens, a cybersecurity enthusiast with a decade of information security experience. He is the founder and CEO of “Null Hat Security LLC”, which focuses on threat hunting, security analytics, cyber security skills assessments, and cyber threat intelligence. O’Shea has worked and consulted for companies in the space of the federal government, Fortune 500, and international firms.

    He was introduced to cyber security at the age of thirteen as a teenage hacker. Curiosity drove him towards his chosen profession and he enjoys helping others navigate their careers in cyber security. He is a board member of Information Security Systems Association(ISSA) and Blacks In Cyber(BIC). He also hosts a bi-monthly podcast, Intrusion Diversity System(IDS) and founder of SKICON. He's an advisor to SANS Blue Team Summit, Layer8 Conference. When he's not behind a keyboard, he can be found spending time with his amazing family or snowboarding somewhere on Earth.

    Devon joined MUFG in August 2020 as Chief Information Security Officer, head of Enterprise Information Security. Devon is responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive information security strategy and program to ensure that information assets and technologies are appropriately protected. He is also responsible for ensuring that information security risks are identified, evaluated, mitigated, and reported in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements and aligns with the risk tolerance for MUFG in the Americas region.

    Devon is a seasoned executive with deep subject matter expertise in information security. Most recently, he  served as the CISO for KPMG — one of the world’s big four accounting organizations — for the United States and the Americas, where he was charged with effectively designing and executing a best-in-class information and data security function with a proactive approach to enable business results.

    Prior to KPMG, Devon was the CISO for the National IT Organization of the Federal Reserve System, responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the Fed’s information security policies, architecture, programs and incident response team. Before that, he was the Global CISO for ADP, a Fortune 500 outsourced payroll and human resources provider, and Deputy CISO for the Internal Revenue Service.

    Devon’s information security career began in the U.S. Air Force, where he served for over a decade as a Captain and lead network security engineer working on systems and programs to protect the critical network and communications networks of the Air Force’s Air Combat Command.

    Devon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from South Dakota Technological University and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Colorado Technological University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He co-founded the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals, a nonprofit organization committed to improving the underrepresentation of women and minorities in the field of cybersecurity through academic scholarships, certifications, mentoring, and networking opportunities.

  • Deputy Chief - Center for Cybersecurity Education, Innovation and Outreach

    The Center for Cybersecurity Education, Innovation and Outreach is a division of the National Cryptologic school at the National Security Agency.  The Center is responsible for management of the Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program, the GenCyber and STARTALK summer programs, the Service Academy Intern Program, Service Academy Visiting Professors and other NSA academic outreach programs.  In twenty years at NSA, Lynne has worked in Operations Security, risk management and information assurance, and managed the Information Assurance Directorate personnel and recruiting programs. She is the recipient of the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, was twice awarded the Joint Meritorious Unit Award for special projects in support of the Department of Defense, and the National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation for support to the Intelligence Community.

    Prior to joining NSA, Ms. Clark served in the U.S. Air Force with worldwide assignments in airspace management, radar operations and operations risk management; she retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1999.  Ms. Clark’s academic credentials include a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the Fielding Institute, and a B.A. in Community Development from Baldwin-Wallace College.

  • Cybersecurity Specialist - Cybercrime Support Network (CSN)

    Tomiko Evans, Cybersecurity Specialist at Cybercrime Support Network (CSN) is one of the Atlanta Chapter’s founding member for Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu. She was appointed a judge for the 2020 Ally of the Year Award for Inteligenca, Inc. and the 2020 Cyberjutsu Awards for Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu.  She was one of the invited guests on many podcasts, including ITSPMagazine, Tech and Main, and Bridge and Tech. 

    In 2019, Tomiko won multiple awards to include The Cyber Rising Star award from Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu and the ISC2 ISLA Up-and-Coming Award. She spoke at multiple speaking engagements, where she was invited to come a second time to speak at the ISC2 Security Congress conference, in addition to being on multiple panels. She is an active speaker and has been featured in various events as well as podcasts. After working nearly 20 years in the Information Technology field, Tomiko Evans decided to go back to school earning a Master of Science Degree in Cybersecurity Technology with honors from the multi-award-winning program at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). She also holds a US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Drone Certification, where she is licensed as an FAA Certified Drone Pilot. In order to pursue her passion to integrate cybersecurity discipline into the protection of systems and information in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), she launched a startup called Aerial Footprint, LLC. Tomiko has also been combining her interdisciplinary professional skills and innovative artistry to produce introductory videos and educational content with poetry and rap. As Tomiko Evans continues her journey to spread awareness to all communities, she hopes to lead the next generation towards a passion of cybersecurity and drone technology.

  • Technical Director of the Cryptographic Solutions office at the National Security Agency (NSA)

    Dr. Aaron Ferguson is the Technical Director of the Cryptographic Solutions office at the National Security Agency (NSA). He has held several technical leadership positions at NSA over the last 21 years. Currently, he is responsible for providing technical leadership to the planning, analysis, development and certification of cryptographic solutions that provide secure communications to the aation and our allies. This includes cryptographic support to space and weapons, development of cryptographic algorithms, development of cryptographic security specifications, development of commercial solutions to protect and secure classified information, and development of strategy for cryptographic modernization. Prior to his current assignment, Dr. Ferguson was the Deputy Technical Director of the  NSA Enterprise Discovery Operations Group where he was responsible for the mission use of open source information, machine learning, and data science and its use for cybersecurity.

    His areas of expertise include software engineering, cybersecurity, insider threat analysis and analytics, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and big data analytics. From 2003-2006, Dr. Ferguson served as the NSA Visiting Professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point where he conducted cyber security research and taught courses in Information Technology, and Software Engineering. Dr. Ferguson, an international speaker, has published several articles on diversity, cybersecurity, and big data analytics. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Howard University; an MS in Operations Research from the University of New Haven; and an MS and PhD in Applied Math and Statistics from the University of Delaware. Dr. Ferguson, a New York City native, loves to play, coach, and watch basketball and is an unapologetic fan of the NY Yankees, Giants, Mets, and the mercurial Knicks.

    My name is Daniel Francois III, a recent Magna Cum Laude graduate of Bowie State receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. I have a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking using the tools provided by the the computer science field. With a background in computer hardware starting as a hobbyist for building computers and with five years' experience working as a Network Administrator for multiple clients across Maryland and Virginia, I have been blessed with the opportunity to apply for the position of Cryptanalytic Computer Scientist for the National Security Agency after completing an unclassified internship with the Laboratory for Telecommunication Sciences. With big data collection and analysis becoming a major factor in global-level problem-solving, I believe that there are many worldwide issues that we can address with computer science. My goal is to be a part of at least one of many solutions we can come up with while representing the Black minority within both the intelligence and computer science communities. I also believe that it is my duty to help bring up those around me to help them succeed with whatever goals they wish to accomplish.

    Raymond Gabler has been working in cyber security long before the term “Cyber” came into play (20+ years, yes, he is that old). His career has afforded him the opportunity to gain vast experience in multiple information technology domains related to the design, implementation, and ongoing operation/maintenance of cyber security programs for a vast array of clients. Currently Raymond holds two different positions: the Founder of RGS Specialists, a small security consulting boutique offering variety of services to both large and small companies, and as the VP Manager of Security Engineering and Operations for a Baltimore-based asset management firm where he is responsible for application protections, to include most items above the “network stack.”  Previously, he also served as an adjunct professor for the local community college where he taught cyber security courses and mentored the school’s competition team.

    Tyshia Jackson was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated high school from Baltimore City College. During high school, she participated in various social and athletic clubs. Tyshia always had an eye for detail and problem-solving.

    After graduating high school, she attended The Community College of Baltimore County, Essex with a major in Chemical Engineering. After completing two years, she had a new passion for Cybersecurity from her experience with technology, working at Metro-by-T-Mobile. Planning to return and finish her engineering degree, she looked for ways to jumpstart a career in a new field of Cybersecurity.

    Tyshia started Year Up in August 2019 and was accepted into the Cybersecurity track to get the start she had been looking for.   • Operations Threat Analys - Trinity Cyber

    Skylar is responsible for 24/7 monitoring the current threat landscape of Trinity Cyber’s customers and ensuring their continuity of their operations. During Skylar's first year at Trinity, his intense curiosity led him to reverse engineer nation state malware and is lead developer for Trinity Cyber's malware lab, where he develops tools to safely streamline the acquisition, and follow-on analysis of highly malicious and complex malware. Before joining Trinity Cyber, he attended the University of Alabama at Huntsville, where he obtained his MS in Cyber-Security and spearheaded the university’s first offensive security club and competitive hacking team.     CURRENT POSITION: Sean is the Chief of the Endpoint and Forensics organization within the National Security Agency and is charged with leading a group of intelligence professionals in the discovery, retrieval and dissemination of information from multiple resources from partners around the world.

    PRIOR POSITIONS: Sean began his career in 1985 at Parris Island, South Carolina, where at the age of 17, he embarked on his career journey as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Following graduation, Sean transferred to Pensacola Florida, where he began studying Morse Code and basic analysis which officially kicked off his adventure as a member of the Intelligence Community.     Dwight Thomas is an Application Security Engineer at Cvent. He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, with a double concentration in Cyber Security and Video Game Development, from Howard University. This is where he got his start as a Junior Web Administrator. After graduating, Dwight began working at Cvent as an Intern; and over the course of two years, he has worked his way up to an Application Security Engineer 2. He is heavily involved in the Vulnerability Management Program, Dynamic Application Security Testing, Static Application Security Testing, and Threat Modeling. His day-to-day activities include penetration testing coordination, client coordination, and security testing training for quality and engineering teams.     Veda brings more than 22 years of experience in cybersecurity, governance, privacy, risk management, and resilience within the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Defense, Civil Service, the Intelligence Community and the Financial Sector; to include having served as a political appointee for the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board (“Board”) under the Obama Administration as their Chief Information Security Officer and Deputy Chief Information Officer.  The Board was created after Hurricane Katrina to help reduce fraud, waste, and abuse of federal funds related to the $840 billion stimulus bill.
