The BSU Careers in Health Professions program helps students in the Bowie State University Natural Sciences program transition into graduate school health professions programs, leading to a career in medicine and health professions.
Applications will open on May 5, 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year. Students must be admitted to Bowie State University prior to applying to this program. This program is designed for current students including incoming freshmen. Late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis,for new/transfer students. If chosen to progress, students will receive an email to sign-up for an interview slot from the BSU Careers in Health Program Coordinator between July 25 - July 28, 2024 - Decisions sent to student emails: August 15, 2024
Success Story: Chris Provido
Chris graduated from Bowie State University with his BS in Biology in Spring 2024. He made the most of his time at BSU. Chris participated in the BSU Course Undergraduate Research Experiences (CURE) and the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) at Harvard University. He also participated as a TA (teaching assistant) for several courses in the Natural Science department. Chris receieved a full scholarship to Stanford University School of Medicine, where he will study immunology through their doctoral program.
