Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open.   2. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and ability to manage literacy instruction and programs (includes balanced literacy approaches, technology integration, and material selection).
  3. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and ability on the importance of using multiple assessments for evaluation of literacydevelopment.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and ability of how to design and develop literacy environment for diverse studentpopulations as well as select diverse children’s literature.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of empirical research design; writes report in APA format; presents ideas to colleagues.
  6. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and ability of the writing process, the varied purposes of writing, and integration ofwriting into the curriculum.
