Test of Essential Academic Skills

Information on the TEAS

• Effective fall 2023, all applicants must take the ATI TEAS on site at Bowie State University, for admission consideration.
• Applicants must apply to take the TEAS on the ATI testing Website, and select "Bowie State University" as the testing site.
• Only currently enrolled BSU students (currently taking a course at BSU) are eligible to apply for nursing admission consideration and take the ATI TEAS at Bowie State University.

BSU Testing Services ATI TEAS 2025 Testing Dates

• Thursday, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m.
• Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 12 p.m.
• Thursday, Oct. 2 at 9 a.m.
• Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 12 p.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 6 at 9 a.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 13 at 9 a.m.
• Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 12 p.m.
• Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 12 p.m.
• Thursday, Dec. 4 at 9 a.m.

Testing Services for the TEAS summer 2025 schedule:

• Tuesday, June 3 at 12pm (The June 3rd date WILL be accepted for only this current application cycle (May1st-May30th)).
• Tuesday, July 15 at 12pm (TEAS taken in July and August will be accepted for review with future application cycles). 
• Thursday, August 21 at 9am (TEAS taken in July and August will be accepted for review with future application cycles). 

More Information

• Transfer students who have not been admitted to and enrolled at BSU at the time of the nursing application period are not eligible to apply. They must receive official advisement evaluation to confirm eligibility for the next nursing admission application cycle.
• At a minimum candidates must possess a TEAS score of 65%.
• The TEAS score has a 1 year lifespan (Scores older than 1 year are invalid).
• Candidates are limited to 3 attempts (The higher score of the two will be considered).
