The Disability Support Services supports the mission of Bowie State University to empower all students including students with disabilities to reach their educational goals by ensuring equal access to all programs, services, activities, and campus facilities. We provide innovative and research based services orstudents to reach their full potential.

The Disability Support Services is committed to the elimination of physical, instructional, and attitudinal barriers that can impact students, faculty and staff with disabilities. We collaborate with BSU departments and outside agencies to promote awareness and understanding of the role of DSS department in assisting the institution in addressing their DEI initiatives.
