Homecoming Parking

Campus Access

Anyone wishing to access campus on Homecoming Day – Saturday, November 1 – must register for campus access by no later than Friday, October 31. If you purchase a Homecoming game football ticket, you do not need to register. Your football ticket will serve as your campus registration. Students living on campus do not need to register for campus access.

Attendees must present their registration or Homecoming football game ticket QR code to access campus.

Registering for campus access does not include parking.

Homecoming Day On-campus Parking

If you do not have a university parking permit for Academic Year 2025-2026, you will need to pay for on-campus parking. 

On-campus parking is $30 per vehicle and must be purchased in advance. Paid parking spots will be available in Lots I, H, G, B and A, as well as the MARC train north side parking lot. 

Tailgating is also available for purchase and will take place in Lot J. The Regular Tailgate option is $175, which includes two parking spaces and two general admission football tickets. The RV Tailgate option is $200, which includes three parking spaces and two general admission football tickets. 

PURCHASE PARKING

Parking is limited, so act fast and purchase parking today. No parking will be allowed on 197 (Laurel-Bowie Rd.) and Jericho Rd.

BSU Parking Permit Holders

With campus registration or a Homecoming game football ticket, Bowie State employees and students who have a university parking permit for Academic Year 2025-2026 will be able to park on campus for free in Lots Q, P, O, N, M, K and S on a first come, first serve basis. (BSU students living on campus do not need to register for campus access.)

Attendees must present their registration or Homecoming football game ticket QR code to access campus. Visitors will enter campus through the main entrance at East Loop Rd. off of Jericho Rd. A campus map can be found here.

Homecoming Day Satellite Parking & MARC Train

Free parking for Homecoming Day will be available at the Satellite Parking Locations listed below. Parking will be first come, first served.

  • Jericho Park (9510 Laurel-Bowie Rd., Bowie, MD 20720)
  • Horsepen Park (8609 Race Track Rd., Bowie, MD 20715)
  • Saddlebrook East Community Park (8311 Race Track Rd., Bowie, MD 20715)
  • Bowie Crossing Park & Ride (4400 Collington Rd, Bowie, MD 20716)

A shuttle service will be provided for guests between the Satellite Parking Locations and Bowie State’s campus, running every 30 minutes, from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. It is heavily encouraged riders are at the campus pick up/drop off location – Charlotte Robinson Circle (RC in front of #22 on the map) – by no later than 7 p.m.

All riders will be required to present their campus registration or Homecoming football game ticket QR code before boarding the Shuttle bus.

Attendees are also encouraged to ride the MARC Train to the Bowie State Station to access campus.

Homecoming Day Ride Share Drop-off and Pick-up Area

It’s encouraged for Homecoming Day attendees to utilize satellite parking, the MARC Train or ride sharing options such as Uber, Lyft or a taxi/cab service. The designated campus ride share drop-off and pick-up area is at Charlotte Robinson Circle (RC in front of #22 on the map). Campus closes at 7 p.m., so please ensure your driver arrives before then.

On-campus students ordering food through delivery services such as Uber Eats and DoorDash must use Charlotte Robinson Circle as the drop-off and pick-up area.
