Homecoming Parking

Campus Access

Anyone wishing to access campus on Homecoming Day – Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026 – must register for campus access by no later than Friday, Oct. 23, 2026. If you purchase a Homecoming game football ticket, you do not need to register. Your football ticket will serve as your campus registration. Students living on campus do not need to register for campus access.

Attendees must present their registration or Homecoming football game ticket QR code to access campus.

Homecoming Day On-campus Parking

If you do not have a university parking permit for Academic Year 2026-2027, you will need to pay for on-campus parking. 

On-campus parking is $30 per vehicle and must be purchased in advance. Paid parking spots will be available in Lots I, H, G, B and A, as well as the MARC train north side parking lot. 

Tailgating is also available for purchase and will take place in Lot J. The Regular Tailgate option is $200, which includes two parking spaces and two general admission football tickets. The RV Tailgate option is $225, which includes three parking spaces and two general admission football tickets.

BSU Parking Permit Holders

With campus registration or a Homecoming game football ticket, Bowie State employees and students who have a university parking permit for Academic Year 2026-2027 will be able to park on campus for free in Lots Q, P, O, N, M, K and S on a first come, first serve basis. (BSU students living on campus do not need to register for campus access.)

Attendees must present their registration or Homecoming football game ticket QR code to access campus. Visitors will enter campus through the main entrance at East Loop Rd. off of Jericho Rd. A campus map can be found here.

Off-Campus Parking and Shuttle

MARC Train 

We highly recommend taking the MARC train to campus. 

  • Free on game day: MARC Penn Line service will be free for everyone commuting to campus on Homecoming Day, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026. 
  • Student discount: Bowie State students will receive 50% off MARC train fares during Homecoming Week, Oct. 18-25, 2026. Register here.

Satellite Parking 

Free parking on Homecoming Day will be available at Saddlebrook East Community Park. Use 8311 Race Track Rd, Bowie, MD 20715, for GPS directions. 

A shuttle will run between Saddlebrook East Community Park and Bowie State University every 30 minutes, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. You must show your campus registration or Homecoming football game ticket to board the shuttle bus.  

Campus closes promptly at 7 p.m. We recommend that you arrive at the shuttle bus pick-up location by 6:30 p.m. This can help you stay ahead of exit traffic. The shuttle bus pick-up location is at Henry Circle (campus map). 

Campus Access 

  • No one will be granted access to campus after 6 p.m., except for students. 
  • Students should carry their Bowie State ID. 

Homecoming Day Ride Share Drop-off and Pick-up Area

It’s encouraged for Homecoming Day attendees to utilize satellite parking, the MARC Train or ride sharing options such as Uber, Lyft or a taxi/cab service. The designated campus ride share drop-off and pick-up area is at Charlotte Robinson Circle (RC in front of #22 on the map). Campus closes at 7 p.m., so please ensure your driver arrives before then.

On-campus students ordering food through delivery services such as Uber Eats and DoorDash must use Charlotte Robinson Circle as the drop-off and pick-up area.
