Academic Counseling and Advising
ELSS Advising Schedule, 2023/2024 academic year:
- March 25-April 12, 2024
Participants of any ELSS program--including Bulldog Scholars Academy, Scholars Studio and those receiving first-generation support-- with fewer than 60 credits are eligible to schedule an appointment with Patience Amankwa using this link.
Please Note: Students in the following majors are required to schedule appointments with an advisor from their academic department:
- Computer Science
- Education (including ELEM, ECED, SPM)
- Fine & Performing Arts: Transfer students with 15 or more credits with majors in Fine and Performing Arts should be advised directly in the department: Fine Arts (Studio Art, Music, Music Technology), Theatre Arts (Acting & Directing and Dance), and VCDMA.
- Language, Literature, and Cultural Studies
- Nursing
- Social Work
- Technology and Security
Students who are advised in their departments are invited to schedule an appointment with Ms. Amankwa for an ELSS check-in after meeting with their advisor.
ELSS Computer Lab
All ELSS participants are invited to access our computer lab, located in JEP 339.
Lab Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 am–5:00 pm
Access before 10:00 am: Students who wish to access the lab before 10:00 am must notify Ms. Ariel Walker in advance. Please reach out to her at awalker@bowiestate.edu or stop by her office in JEP 203, located in suite 202, with your request and the purpose of your early access.
Printer Instructions: Each student will be given a unique and confidential access code. Please see the lab assistant or Ms. Walker for further details.
