The Enterprise Information Systems and Application Security (EISAS) team is responsible for managing a comprehensive and rigorous information assurance infrastructure.
EISAS ensures information security systems, personnel, and organizational sub-units securely align with the university’s core goals and strategic direction. While often associated strictly with information security technology, EISAS’ focus also addresses security practices for business optimization. This is accomplished by skillfully protecting and enhancing BSU’s business security architecture, performance management operation and security process architecture.
IT Security
Enterprise Security provides various tools and services to protect computers and the data that resides on them while on the Bowie State University network. While these tools and services assist in protecting BSU’s computing environment and data, it is the people and their behavior that play a vital role. Therefore, it is required that all system users adhere to the mandatory annual security training requirements.

Email Security
To report a phishing email or if you have a question about the authenticity of an email, please forward a copy of it to infosec@bowiestate.edu. This will help us block phishing email messages before they grow through the system.
