The visual and performing arts are highly competitive fields and having a strong foundation of professional training is critical. In Bowie State’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts, students prepare for success in the Fine and Performing Arts Center—a beautiful space featuring a movement studio, band room, only Steinway piano rooms and rehearsal studios, a recital hall, a multimedia recording studio, digital media labs, stop-motion animation, and green screen studio; fashion design studio and costume shop, digital music production lab, visual arts and design studios for painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography and more, as well as the Main Stage and Black Box theaters.
