We're Hiring: Fall 2021

We are Hiring for Fall 2021

The BSU Writing Center is looking to hire multiple undergraduate and graduate student workers for Fall 2021. New WC Consultants complete a paid, 6-week training program, which prepares you to work with student writers in face-to-face sessions (primary method) and also online, synchronous sessions (less common method). Undergraduate applicants should have completed ENGL 102 (or be currently enrolled in the class).

Interested? Apply by emailing us your 1) cover letter, 2) resume, 3) previously written essay (at least 5 pages for undergraduates, at least 15 pages for graduates), and 4) at least one reference’s name and contact information (preferably a BSU professor, but a current/former professor or employer is also acceptable).

Resume and/or cover letter should indicate your major(s)/minor(s), expected graduation date, telephone number, desired number of hours per week (max is 20 hours per week), and familiarity with diverse cultures and/or languages (if applicable).

We especially welcome applications from candidates who are:

  • diverse majors and minors (we’re not just English students!) such as business, science, math, computer science, nursing, psychology, sociology, etc.
  • representative or familiar with the various cultural and/or linguistic traditions of the BSU student body (e.g. multilingual and ELL students)
  • former and current armed service members (e.g. ROTC)
  • student-athletes

Applications should be emailed to:

With the email subject line:

Closing date and time:

Qualified candidates will be contacted to schedule online interviews.
