Spring 2025: Hiring Undergraduate & Graduate Students
The BSU Writing Center is looking to hire undergraduate and graduate student-workers to start in the Spring 2025 semester. New WC Consultants complete a paid, 6-week training program, which prepares you to work with student writers in both face-to-face sessions and online, synchronous sessions.
Undergraduate students are required to have earned a grade of "B" or higher in ENGL 101 and 102 classes (or equivalent courses at another institution).
Apply by emailing us your 1) cover letter, 2) CV or resume, 3) previously written essay (at least 4-6 pages for undergradate and at least 15 pages for graduate), and 4) at least one reference’s name and contact information (preferably a BSU professor, but an employer is also acceptable).
Resume and/or cover letter should indicate your major(s)/minor(s), expected graduation date, telephone number, desired number of hours per week (20 hours per week is the max and 10 hours per week is the minimum), and familiarity with diverse cultures and/or languages (if applicable).
We especially welcome applications from candidates who are:
- scholars from diverse fields (we’re not just English scholars!), paticularly the natural sciences and maths
- representative of, or familiar with, the various cultural and/or linguistic traditions of the BSU student body (e.g. multilingual and ELL students)
- former and current armed service members (e.g. ROTC)
Applications should be emailed to:
