Wellness Kiosks

Based on the work done by former BSU student Jakeya Johnson, all University System of Maryland schools are required to provide 24-hour access to reproductive health care by August 1, 2024. At BSU, we are doing this through wellness kiosks, which are essentially vending machines with reproductive/healthcare-related products.

Wellness Kiosks are an extension of the Henry A. Wise Wellness Center services, providing access to essential health items such as emergency contraceptives, over-the-counter medication, safe sex supplies, and personal-care products. They are sponsored by the Wellness Center in partnership with SimpliChek.

The BSU Community can access these kiosks at the following locations: Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community, Haley Hall, Thurgood Marshall Library and the Student Center Game Room. Payment via a credit/debit card is required to access products in the kiosks.
